O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah. Please accept it from me.

Detailed Explanation

This dua expresses the pilgrim's intention, devotion, sincerity, and hope for Allah's acceptance when beginning Umrah. 1. “O Allah” The dua begins by calling upon Allah, recognizing that the entire journey of Umrah is undertaken for His sake. The pilgrim seeks His help, mercy, guidance, and acceptance. 2. “I have intended to perform Umrah” This refers to Niyyah (intention). The pilgrim makes the sincere intention to perform Umrah solely for Allah. The important thing is the intention of the heart. The words of the dua help express and affirm that intention. 3. “And have entered into the state of Ihram for it” Ihram is the sacred state a pilgrim enters before performing Umrah. It involves observing the specific rules and restrictions of Ihram and preparing oneself spiritually for worship. For a man, Ihram also refers to the prescribed two unstitched cloths worn for the pilgrimage. For a woman, Ihram is the sacred state entered with the appropriate modest clothing. 4. “So accept it from me” This is a beautiful request for Allah's acceptance. A person may perform an act of worship, but ultimately it is Allah who grants acceptance. Therefore, the pilgrim humbly asks Allah to accept the Umrah, forgive shortcomings, and grant its reward. 🌙 Spiritual Message This dua teaches us that Umrah is not simply a physical journey to Makkah. It is a journey of the heart toward Allah. It reminds the pilgrim to: Have a sincere intention. Perform Umrah for Allah alone. Enter Ihram with humility and devotion. Follow the prescribed rites of Umrah. Ask Allah for acceptance. Avoid pride and remember that acceptance is entirely in Allah's hands. In Simple Words “Ya Allah, I am beginning my Umrah for Your sake. I have entered Ihram for this worship, so please accept my Umrah and grant me Your mercy and blessings.”
